WhatsApp is evolving and now offering new working tools, where you can now find a guide that can solve many of your needs within the app if you need it.
According to the platform itself, users will find companies by categories or by entering the name of the respective company.
The idea is to avoid entering a web browser to search through Google Maps or any other site, which makes WhatsApp an app that does much more than just messaging, video calling, and entertainment in general.
To take advantage of this function, you need to start a new chat, or go to the "Companies" tab where registered companies will appear on the platform near you, or search for them directly by name
Best of all, everything will be filtered by categories, specifying whether restaurants, cafeterias, grocery stores, clothing stores, auto stores, etc.
This new feature is currently being rolled out in five countries: Brazil, Colombia, Indonesia, Mexico, and the United Kingdom. Meta wants users to be able to search for businesses by categories, such as stores or travel agencies. Companies registered on the platform can also be found by name.
The most interesting thing about this function is not only finding and contacting companies, but also the fact that you can buy and make payments through WhatsApp chats. It certainly opens up a lot of possibilities in terms of e-commerce
At the moment, no details have been provided on when this feature will be available globally, but it seems that Meta intends to make it available in the rest of the world.
